Christmas Tree Disposal

Published Dec 31, 2019

Residents wishing to dispose of organic Christmas trees can do so by simply placing the tree curbside with all decorations, ornaments and any attached tree stands removed. Do not place Christmas trees in recycling or garbage containers.

  • City of Pensacola Sanitation will remove trees placed on the curb on the customer’s regular trash collection day. Customers can also dispose of Christmas trees by taking them to one to the drop-off locations listed below through January 31.

                    • Summit Boulevard, next to old Fire Station 3

                    • East Maxwell Street underneath I-110

                    • Bill Gregory Park near the back of the park, dead-end of “W” Street and Navy Boulevard

  • ECUA Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Feed the Compost Pile: Place your real tree (free of decorations, tinsel and tree stand) or wreaths out by the curb on your usual collection day for pick-up as part of your regular yard waste collection. ECUA will compost the trees with the other yard waste at the new Biosolids Composting Facility.
