Ashland Avenue Lane Closure Scheduled to Begin Tuesday

Ashland Avenue will experience short-term lane closures beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 a.m.

A portion of Ashland Avenue between Nine Mile Road and West Nine and Half Road will be closed to through traffic. Traffic heading south will be detoured to West Nine and Half Mile Road, west to Stefani Road, south to Nine Mile Road, back onto Ashland Avenue. Traffic heading north will be detoured west along Nine Mile Road, to Stefani Road, north to West Nine and Half Mile Road, then east back onto Ashland Avenue. 
 
Intermittent lane closures on Ashland Avenue are necessary to install a new stormwater drainage along Nine Mile Road crossing Ashland Avenue within the FDOT right of way. 
 
The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect for five days and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road on or before Sunday, Nov. 10.

If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
