The Force returns to Pensacola Library on Saturday, Oct. 5 for Star Wars Reads, a worldwide event featuring activities for Star Wars fans of all ages.
Star Wars Reads will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pensacola Library, located at 239 N. Spring St.
There will be a variety of activities and crafts for people of all ages, such as a photo op with Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion, virtual reality and easy origami Darth Vader.
There are also specific activities for youth such as a lightsaber craft station, obstacle course and anti-meteor crash chamber.
For every activity completed, participants will receive a raffle ticket. Raffles will take place at 11 a.m. and noon.
Attendees are encouraged to come in costume.
Kicking off its eighth year, Star Wars Reads is a worldwide event that takes place during October. Participants such as libraries, bookstores and schools celebrate reading and Star Wars. To learn more, visit
