Sea Grant will have live reptiles at this annual Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida event to educate the public about local snakes and turtles.
Pieces Adrift

Sea Grant will have an information table at this public event to educate the public about the Escambia County Sea Grant Program and what the program encompasses.
Science Hour - Genetically Modified Organisms in Local Food

This month our speaker will be UF/IFAS Escambia County Extension Agent Libbie Johnson. She will be discussing GMOs in local foods.
Seafood at Your Fingertips
- Monday, Sept. 16, 6 p.m. Southwest Branch Library, 12248 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola
Escambia Extension and Perdido Seafood will give a presentation on local seafood topics including; purchasing, storing, preparing and safe handling of local seafood.

2019 Escambia Cares Community Resource Expo
- Saturday, Sept. 21, Brownsville Community Center, 3200 W. De Soto St., Pensacola
This is an event to showcase available resources for the local Brownsville community. UF/IFAS Escambia County Extension will be discussing the importance of physical activity and healthy eating in daily life for healthy lifestyles. We will be offering “Walter Finds His Wiggle” books and UF/IFAS Extension health programming information.
Weed Management in Ornamental Beds

Horticulture Agent will present a 50-minute session for the Magnolia Garden Club on weed management techniques in ornamental beds, including proper timing of pre-emergent herbicides.
