Graphic Novel Group

Pet Partners: Read With Me™
School-aged children are invited to register for a 15-minute session to pick a book and practice reading with a furry friend. Dogs and handlers are coordinated through Pet Partners and Cherry Point Dog Training, Inc. Preregistration is requested.
Summer Reading Club
Summer Reading Club for Adults and Youth
WFPL has a summer reading program for adults and youth. The program began Tuesday, May 28 and will run until Saturday, Aug. 3. Register at any WFPL location. Remember, audiobooks are not cheating.

Mashed Potato Players
Mashed Potato Players teaches the basics of theatre and stage acting and it's a lot of fun.This is a hands on, "let's do it" class filled with activities, theatre games and exercises; with one goal in mind: our class putting together our own original mini-play and performing it for an audience. STEAM
Chess Club
We will help you learn how to play one of the oldest games in the world. Whether you are a brand-new beginner or a master chess player, this is a chance to learn new skills, practice your moves and improve your game in a friendly environment. All playing levels are welcome, including beginners. The library will provide all the chess boards and pieces.
Tinkering with Rockets
Come explore the building of rockets each week as we start with the very simplest paper rockets and work our way up to ignition rockets, with each week’s program building on what we have learned. Join us to build and test your rocket. The library will provide all resources necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity.
Uke ‘n’ Play
Learn how to play the ukulele! Beginner instruction is from 4 - 4:30 p.m. We will cover instrument handling, tuning, basic chords, etc. Jam with us from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. as we share techniques and learn songs together. Bring your own ukulele or borrow one of ours.
Gaming with STEAM
Minecraft, Scrap Mechanic, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Kerbal Space Program, My Pocket Galaxy and Take on Mars, available on laptops and iPads. Pick your adventure and explore new worlds. The library will provide all the technology tools needed. You just need to bring your imagination and ingenuity.
Sewing and Quilting with STEAM for Grownups
Would you like to learn to sew? Come learn at the library. We provide all you need to get started. If you are already an experienced seamstress or quilter, come us for the fun and friendship.
Space Exploration with LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics
Come build answers to space exploration challenges using LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics sets. The Library will provide the LEGO WeDo 2.0 kits. You just need to bring your enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity.
Kids Crafting with STEAM
Come be creative and make art and crafts. The library will provide all materials. Thursday, July 11 will be perler beads. Thursday, July 18 will be acrylic pouring. Thursday, July 25 will be rock painting.
Quilt, Stitch and Sew Open Session
Come learn to quilt, stitch or sew. Want to learn to crochet? Want to brush up on your sewing skills? Want to spend time together with like-minded people working on your craft project? The library has sewing machines and other tools you can use to produce your creations.
Bricks and Flicks
Join us in watching movies each week. Come munch popcorn and enjoy action adventure movies. In our second meeting room, we will have LEGO® bricks for you to build as you watch the movie. Thursday, July 11 will be “Wall-E”. Thursday, July 18 will be “The Iron Giant”. Thursday, July 25 will be “Ender’s Game.”

Westside Loopy Loomers
Learn to loom knit hats, scarves, lap blankets and other items as we are making slipper socks for a local dialysis unit and yarn nest for abandoned wildlife (baby birds and squirrels) for the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida. Yarn and looms are provided. All ages are welcome.

Local patron Sallie Beckes, a 500-hour professional yoga teacher will guide you through the basics of chair yoga: gentle stretches seated in a chair and also standing postures. Preregister please.
