Escambia County Firefighters Recognized for Heroism

Escambia County Fire Rescue firefighters were recognized today by Chairman and District 3 Commissioner Lumon May for their bravery while saving the life of a county resident Friday, May 24. Crews responded to a residential mobile home fire with entrapment in the 3000 block of Miller Street. The victim was located and removed from the structure in only three minutes. The first responders performed CPR and the victim regained circulation before being transported to Baptist Hospital.
