The Fowler Avenue lane closure and detour that began on Tuesday, April 16 and was scheduled to end on Saturday, April 27 has been extended until Friday, May 3, due to weather delays.
Southbound traffic will be detoured to Untreiner Avenue, onto Detroit Boulevard, back to Fowler Avenue. Traffic heading north along Cove Avenue will be detoured to Detroit Boulevard, onto Untreiner Avenue, back to Nine Mile Road. Construction will consist of placing new drainage pipes along Nine Mile Road and Fowler Avenue.
The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately nine days, and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road before 5 p.m. Friday, May 3.
If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time periods, another notice will be issued.
