FDOT April 9, 2019 Escambia County Traffic Alert

Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties as crews perform routine maintenance activities.

Escambia County

• State Road (S.R.) 190 (Pine Forest Road) Routine Maintenance- The northbound outside lane on Pine Forest Road at Chellie Road will be closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 as crews replace quick curb delineators.
• Interstate 10 (I-10) Routine Bridge Inspection over the Perdido River at the Florida/Alabama Line- East and westbound traffic can expect intermittent lane restrictions on I-10 across the Perdido River Bridge located at the Florida/Alabama line from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11 as crews perform a routine inspection.

Santa Rosa County

• S.R. 281 (Avalon Boulevard/Garcon Point Bridge) Routine Bridge Inspection over Eastbay ICWW- Traffic will encounter intermittent lane closures across the Garcon Point Bridge over Eastbay from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 12 as crews perform a routine inspection.  

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in a work zone, especially at night, and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
