East Johnson Avenue will experience lane closures beginning Sunday, March 31. A portion of East Johnson Avenue west of Old Spanish Trail will be closed to through traffic.
Traffic will be detoured from East Johnson Avenue to Olympia Road, to Bixby Circle, onto Winding Lane and then back to Scenic Highway. Westbound traffic will be detoured from Olive Road to Davis Highway, with access to East Johnson Avenue.
Intermittent lane closures on East Johnson Avenue are necessary to install a new storm drain, base, asphalt and new alignment for upgrades in the Olive Road Multi-Lane Reconstruction and Drainage Project Phase 2.
The road closure is expected to remain in effect for one month, and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts in order to reopen the road on or before Tuesday, April 30.
If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
