Olive Road Lane Closure Notice

Olive Road will experience short-term lane closures beginning Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9 a.m.

A portion of Olive Road between Tippin Avenue and Yancey Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Traffic heading eastbound on Olive Road will be detoured to Yancey Avenue to Parazine Street, southbound on Tippin Avenue back to Olive Road. Westbound traffic will be detoured along Olive Road to Tippin Avenue, to Parazine Street onto Yancey Avenue, then back to Olive Road. 

Intermittent lane closures on Olive Road are necessary to install a new 12-inch water main for upgrades in the Olive Road Multi-Lane Reconstruction and Drainage Project Phase 2.

The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts in order to reopen the road on or before Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. 

If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
