Chipley – The northbound U.S. 29 off-ramp onto Nine Mile Road in Escambia County will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 as crews place drainage pipes across the roadway in association with the U.S. 29 widening project. Northbound local traffic may use W. Hood Drive as an alternate route or perform a U-turn at 9 ½ Mile Road.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to obey the 40-mph speed limit and use caution when traveling through the work zone, especially at night. Drivers should also watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
