The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners' installation and reorganization meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. at the Escambia County Government Complex, Board Chambers, located at 221 Palafox Place in Pensacola. Each November the board holds a reorganization meeting, during which the newly-elected or re-elected commissioners are sworn into office and the new chairman and vice chairman assume their roles.
At the meeting, District 2 Commissioner Doug Underhill and District 4 Commissioner-elect Robert Bender will take the oath of office. In addition, the board will reorganize with District 3 Commissioner Lumon May serving as chairman and District 4 Commissioner-elect Robert Bender serving as vice chairman for the coming year.
