Pensacola Beach Road will experience short-term lane closures at the foot of the Gulf Breeze side of the southbound lane of the Bob Sikes Bridge Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m., Pensacola Beach Road between Soundview Trail and the southbound lane of the Bob Sikes Bridge will merge into one lane of traffic.
The roadway will be reduced to one lane so construction material and equipment can be unloaded and improvements can be made.
The lane closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately nine hours, and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road by Wednesday Oct. 31 at 5 a.m. If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time periods, another notice will be issued.
Please contact Escambia County Project Manager Derek Fox at 850-384-3760 or Pensacola Concrete Construction Co. Inc. Project Manager Ben Joyner at 850-449-4194 with any questions, comments or for further assistance regarding this notice.
