Animals from Bay County Not Available for Adoption Locally

Published Oct 13, 2018

All animals that were brought to the Escambia County Animal Shelter yesterday from the Humane Society of Bay County are being transported to partner shelters in the Northeast today and will not be available for adoption from the Escambia County Animal Shelter. Escambia County is operating as a transport hub for animals impacted by Hurricane Michael and will not be housing these animals permanently.

The Escambia County Animal Shelter will have local dogs and cats for adoption only. Every local adoption helps free up space for an animal to be transported from a hurricane impacted area on to a partner shelter.
