Escambia County and the Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administration are hosting a Small Business and Veterans Expo Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Brownsville Community Center located at 3200 W. De Soto St. The expo will focus on entrepreneurship, employment and educational resources for veterans who have an existing business or who are interested in learning more about starting a business. Natalie Hall, Economic Development Specialist and Veteran’s Representative with the Small Business Association-North Florida District Office, will be the guest speaker at the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and speak one-on-one with each presenter.

- 6 p.m. – Meet and Greet
- 6:30 p.m. – Guest Speaker Natalie Hall, SBA – “Veteran Resources through the U.S. Small Business Administration”
- 7 p.m. – Paul Nobles, Escambia County Purchasing Manager – “How to do Business with Escambia County”
At the expo, business and veterans’ resource organizations will be available with information, resources and tools specifically for veterans. Existing businesses will be able to register as a county vendor onsite, with computers and Escambia County staff available to assist with the online vendor registration process.
