Escambia County Corrections Recognizes Staff Members

The Escambia County Corrections Department recently recognized several staff members for promotions, longevity and other outstanding achievements at a ceremony at the Corrections Building on Palafox Street. 

Senior Corrections staff including Maj. Scott Nash and 1st Lt. Jason Walker presented recipients with their awards at the ceremony, where they were also recognized by County Administrator Jack Brown and Assistant County Administrator Matthew Coughlin.

Awards for the winter quarter are as follows:

  • Correctional Officer of the Quarter:
    • Lieutenant Ronald Hankinson
  • Direct Support Employee of the Quarter:
    • Detention Assistant Kenna Marshall
  • Letter of Commendation and Challenge Coin:
    • Corrections Officer 1st Class Jennifer Hudson
    • Corrections Officer Annie Quiggins
    • Mental Health Counselor Tara Raulston
  • Letter of Commendation:
    • Sergeant Christopher Whelan

The following persons have received promotions and will be recognized formally:

  • Lieutenant Jeffrey Clark to 1st Lieutenant
  • Sergeant Douglas Bullion to Lieutenant
  • Corrections Officer Charles VanBuren to Sergeant
  • Corrections Officer Christopher Whelan to Sergeant
