Rhett Road between St. Johns Road and Scarlett Lane will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, June 12 at 7 a.m. The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately seven days. Every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road before Saturday, June 19.
Traffic will be detoured along St. Johns Road to Sycamore Drive, onto East Brent Lane. After turning right onto Brent Lane, traffic will go over the overpass and take a right onto Horseshoe Court, around to Rhett Road.
The detour on South Rhett Road will be the opposite. Traffic will travel south on Rhett Road, right onto Horseshoe Court, left onto Brent Lane, over the overpass and right onto East Brent Lane. Traffic will then turn right on Sycamore Drive, then left onto St. Johns Road, which leads to Rhett Road.
Construction will consist of two storm drain crossings to a new holding pond.
If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time periods, another notice will be issued.
