Additional SunPass and Annual Pass Pavement Markings To Be Installed Sunday

Published May 18, 2018

The Escambia County Public Works Department will install additional pavement markings along the southbound SunPass/Annual Pass only lane on the Bob Sikes Bridge Sunday, May 20 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The additional markings will provide increased awareness of the Bob Sikes Bridge Toll Plaza SunPass and Annual Pass only lane, while affording motorists more time to navigate accordingly.

No lane closures are anticipated at this time, and work is expected to be completed Monday morning. However, the contractor has been allotted two days for the installations, if needed.

Staff asks that motorists drive with caution while approaching and passing construction work areas for both the safety of the driver and the construction personnel.
