Escambia County Corrections Recognizes Staff Members during Corrections Week

The first full week in May is recognized as National Corrections Officers and Employees Week, commemorating the contributions of correctional officers and personnel who work in jails, prisons and community corrections across the country.

In conjunction with National Corrections Week, the Escambia County Corrections Department recently recognized several staff members for promotions, longevity and other outstanding achievements at a ceremony at the Corrections Building on Palafox Street.

Senior corrections staff presented recipients with their awards at the ceremony, where they were also recognized by Assistant County Administrator Matthew Coughlin and Commissioner Grover Robinson.

Awards for the spring quarter are as follows:
