Homes Damaged in Molino by Storm

Several homes in the 3800 block of Crabtree Church Road in Molino were damaged today by a suspected tornado. Escambia County Emergency Communications received a call from home owners at 1:23 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 reporting damage. Escambia Fire Rescue and Emergency Management crews responded and found approximately five structures incurred slight to moderate damage. Several downed trees and power lines were also found in the area. There were no injuries or assistance requested.

Residents in the area were able to capture a funnel cloud on video. However, the National Weather Service in Mobile is responsible for making official determinations on the cause of storm damage, including Fujita scale assessments.

The threat of strong storms continues through this afternoon and into the evening.
