Chipley– Drainage improvements associated with the U.S. 29 widening project along Chauncey, North Palafox and Chandler streets are scheduled to begin the week of April 23, 2018. Work will take place within state or county owned rights of way or along perpetual easements.
Chandler and Chauncey streets residents are reminded that during daytime hours crews will saw-cut across concrete driveways to place new pipes. Driveway access will be restricted during this time; however, access to the property will be maintained. Driveway access should be restored by the end of the day. Residents will be notified 24 hours in advance if their driveway is to be temporarily closed.
All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through work zones and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
