Successful Annuals for Your Garden

  • Wednesday, April 11, 9-11 a.m. at Escambia County Extension, 3740 Stefani Road, Pensacola

Join UF/IFAS Extension Escambia County for a session on identification, care and use of ornamental annual plants in the home garden. Topics will include: identifying annuals, site preparation and care after planting, common pests and how to address them, and examples of successful annuals for Northwest Florida.

Please join the Escambia County Master Gardener volunteers for a part 1 session on colorful annuals for planting that will enhance your home and garden landscape. Register here or call 850-475-5230 if registering by phone.

Science Hour – Pollinators

  • Thursday, April 12, 6-7 p.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola

Presented by Pollinators and Integrated Pest Management, and Beth Bolles, UF/IFAS Extension. Honeybees are one of the most well-known pollinators, but landscapes are alive with many other insects that offer important pollinating services. Learn the common pollinators found in a diverse plant community and how to protect habitats to conserve many native pollinators.
