Chipley–The Beaver Dam Creek Bridge on Dortch Road in Escambia County will open to traffic Tuesday, March 20. Crews have been performing final asphalt and striping operations to be able to open the roadway back up to motorists.
The wooden bridge, built in 1965, was replaced by a new concrete structure with 10-foot travel lanes, two-foot shoulders and a solid concrete barrier railing. The entire project is expected to be complete this week.
