ChipleyTraffic on Patricia Drive over Marcus Creek in Escambia County will be transitioned to the newly constructed bridge and weight restrictions lifted Tuesday March 20.  Motorists may encounter minor delays as crews make final preparations to switch traffic. Lane closures are allowed between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Patricia Drive and Fairfield Drive.  Once traffic has been moved, crews will begin disassembling the temporary bridge and completing miscellaneous work items.  The entire project is anticipated to be complete April 2018, weather permitting.

The new, modern concrete structure has 12-foot travel lanes, five-foot shoulders and a solid concrete barrier railing. Additionally the bridge approaches have been replaced, drainage upgraded, and guardrail replaced.
