Chipley–Work activities to resurface State Road (S.R.) 750 (Airport Boulevard), between Davis Highway (S.R. 291) and 9th Avenue (S.R. 289), in Escambia County is scheduled to begin the week of Monday, March 19, 2018.
The $2.3 million project will resurface the one-mile section of Airport Boulevard, improve drainage, install new guardrails, and construct curb and gutters. The initiative also includes new sidewalks with ramps that comply with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) design standards.
To help minimize traffic impacts, lane closures will be prohibited between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Access to businesses and other adjacent properties will be maintained. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2018.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
