Chipley–Work to widen Interstate 10 to six travel lanes from east of State Road (S.R.) 291 (Davis Highway) to the Escambia Bay Bridge is now complete. Also complete is related work to re-construct the U.S. 90 (Scenic Highway) overpass above I-10, and the widening of Scenic Highway between Whisper Way and Northpointe Parkway.
Work continues to widen I-10 to six travel lanes between Escambia Bay and Avalon Boulevard in Santa Rosa County, and to improve the I-10/U.S. 29 interchange in Escambia County. These projects are slated to conclude in spring 2018.
