Northbound U.S. 29 traffic between I-10 and Hannah Street will be transitioned to the existing southbound lanes by 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26. Southbound traffic will continue traveling on the temporary lanes. This traffic shift will be in place for several months as crews prepare for the next phase of construction on the east side of U.S. 29. Motorists are reminded the speed limit through the construction zone is reduced to 40 mph.
Construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers use caution, especially at night, when traveling through the work zone, and watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
