CRA Grants Available in Atwood and Ensley Districts

The Escambia County Community Redevelopment Agency is pleased to announce limited funding available to assist property owners with the cost of eligible home repairs and improvements and businesses with minor improvements located within Escambia County's designated Atwood and Ensley districts.

These funds are offered on a first come, first served basis as long as funding is available. Please be advised that in order to receive assistance, all projects must be approved and a Notice to Proceed issued by the CRA prior to commencement. 

Assistance for Homeowners

  • Available through a matching Residential Rehab Grant reimbursement up to $6,000. Eligible improvements include replacement windows, replacement roof, connecting to sanitary sewer, installation of storm shutters, converting to central heat and air condition system or a full electrical rewiring upgrade.

Assistance for Business Owners

  • Available through a matching Commercial Facade, Landscape, and Infrastructure Grant reimbursement up to $10,000 for improvements such as parking lot improvements, landscaping, exterior facade improvements, and
  • A matching Commercial Sign Grant reimbursement up to $2,000 for a new or replacement sign.
