The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Aug. 8 and Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to hear request for proposal presentations for the new jail facility from the two short-listed firms. The meetings will be held in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, 221 Palafox Place. The agenda can be found here.
W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company and Whitesell-Green/Caddell Joint Venture will present their proposals to the board for the construction of the new jail. Presentations will include conceptual drawings, proposed costs, subcontractors and key personnel list, and proposed construction schedule and management plan.
