Escambia River Electric Cooperative’s service area is getting a soaking with heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Cindy. At this time, EREC is experiencing scattered outages due to the severe weather.
EREC urges members to stay indoors if possible and to avoid flooded streets if they must be on the road. Stay away from water that electrical or power lines have fallen into; electric current passes through water easily.
