Drivers will encounter lane closures and detours at the intersection of East Kingsfield Road and Pine Forest Road beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20. Construction will consist of a utility crossing to upgrade the sanitary sewer and force main for the new lift station.
The intersection of East Kingsfield Road and Pine Forest Road, extending 100 feet to the east and west of East Kingsfield Road, will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic will be detoured along Stallion Road to West Roberts Road, and then onto Ryale Road. The road will be closed to through traffic from 297A and Highway 29. Tate Road is an optional route for westbound traffic on Kingsfield Road.
The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately one week. Every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road by Tuesday, June 27. If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time periods, another notice will be issued.
