Road Closure: Sandy Hollow Road over Sandy Hollow Creek

Sandy Hollow Road over Sandy Hollow Creek will be closed beginning Thursday, May 11 for a required bridge replacement by the Florida Department of Transportation. Construction will consist of replacing the existing bridge with a concrete span bridge. Other operations during construction will include clearing, grading and paving.

The detour will consist of the following:

  • For traffic going north on Sandy Hollow Road - the route will be Gobbler Road west to Atmore Highway north to County Road 4 east.
  • For traffic going south on Sandy Hollow Road - the route will be County Road 4 west to Atmore Highway south to Gobbler Road east.

Every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road by September 2017. If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time periods, another notice will be issued.
