North Green Street Drainage Construction to begin Wednesday
Published Dec 19, 2016
The dead end portion of North Green Street south of Frontera Circle will experience construction of drainage improvements beginning Wednesday, Dec. 21. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day and is expected to take 45 days to complete.
Impacts to the three residences at the dead end will be minimized to prevent interruption of resident access, parking and services. The roadway will be reduced to one lane while construction material and equipment are unloaded or utilized to make improvements.
Construction will consist of a permanent concrete flume to control stormwater runoff on the south dead end of North Green Street, along with road resurfacing of that section of the street. The drainage repairs are a result of the April 2014 rain event.
Every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to return the roadway to original conditions. If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time frame, another notice will be issued.
