Escambia County District 4 Commissioner Grover Robinson was appointed on Friday, Dec. 9 to the National Association of Counties Board of Directors to fill an unexpired term for an at-large seat. The NACo board is represented by commissioners across the country for the purpose of advocating on behalf of county and parish governments on the federal level. In addition to his former position as president of the Florida Association of Counties, Commissioner Robinson has served NACo as a member of the Energy, Environment and Land Use Committee and past chairman of the Gulf States Counties and Parishes Caucus. Robinson's appointment takes effect immediately.
