FDOT Perdido Key Drive Resurfacing Project Begins

Published Oct 3, 2016

Florida Department of Transportation construction activities will begin along a portion of Perdido Key Drive (State Road 292) in Escambia County the week of October 3.

The project includes milling and resurfacing 6.3 miles of Perdido Key Drive from the Alabama State line to the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge, minor drainage improvements, guardrail replacement, selected sidewalk removal and replacement, Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades, and placement of new signs and pavement markings.

Motorists can expect daytime lane restrictions.  Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.  The project is anticipated to be completed in early 2017.
