Escambia County is offering a free after school program for youth ages 5-18 at Ebonwood Community Center starting Monday, Aug. 15, with a wide range of academic and recreational activities throughout the school year. "The Youth Connection" program provides youth the opportunity to participate in educational, cultural, sports and community enrichment programs, to build confidence and self-esteem, and it encourages youth to say no to gangs, drugs and violence and "yes" to hope, learning and life.

• Educational programs
• Nutritional programs
• Drama and cultural activities
• Guest speakers
• Special events
• Supervised computer use
• Team-building activities
• Job readiness training

• When: Mondays-Fridays, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2016 through Friday, May 26, 2017
