Escambia County Fire Rescue will host a fire safety day Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, located at 219 E. Johnson Ave. in Pensacola. This community event will teach about fire protection and prevention measures, also providing free smoke detectors and installation for residents. ECFR will provide fire prevention materials for children at the event, and 911 dispatchers will have a phone display to let them practice calling 911. Emergency Management and EMS will also have a vehicle display and a table with information about File of Life and hands-only CPR.
