A new episode of District 2 Commissioner Doug Underhill’s show “Underhill Update” is now available online and airing on Escambia County Television.
In this episode, Underhill visits the Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve and Nature Trail. Hear from county staff and guests about progress on the trail system and recreational opportunities.
The Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve is 1,300 acres and plays an important part in wetland buffering and water quality improvement for the Pensacola Bay Area. Future plans include establishing the preserve as a Florida Birding trail and extending the trail to reach from the Lexington Terrace Park to the Tarkiln Bayou State Recreational Preserve to Big Lagoon State Park, creating almost 15 miles of trail.
"Underhill Update" is airing on ECTV, which can be found on local television providers (Channel 98 on Cox Cable and the Brighthouse Networks, Channel 99 on AT&T Uverse). ECTV also streams 24/7 on MyEscambia.com.
