State Certified Contractors and all Electrical Contractors Licenses Expire August 31

Effective Aug. 31 until a new state certification/registration is provided to the building inspections from state certified contractor and all electrical contractors, no permits or inspections may be processed. 

  • All State Certified Contractors must pay a $27 Escambia County license maintenance fee, due and payable every two years (this fee runs concurrent with your state licensure cycle).
  • Finally, make sure to verify your General Liability Insurance and Workers’ Compensation/Workers’ Compensation Exemption coverage is current.  Any insurance update MUST be faxed directly from your insurer to Building Inspections at (850) 595-3401.
