Go Meet and Learn About Horses
Is it possible that you are considering getting a horse or that you are just curious about horses? Members of Panhandle Equine Rescue will give a presentation on basic horse care and sheltering of horses. Attendees will also meet their mascot, Lightning Bug, an adorable miniature horse.
Go Grow a Garden
Gardens don’t have to be big – they can be wonderfully small. They can be small enough to carry. Volunteers with Escambia County Extension will present a program on container gardening.

Books to Film Book Club
Join others in a rousing discussion of a literary work that is a precursor to a movie. May’s title is “Eleanor and Park” by Rainbow Rowell. The book was published in 2012, movie rights were purchased by DreamWorks Pictures in 2014, and the screenplay is currently being edited by Rainbow Rowell.

R.E.A.D. to Dogs

American Girl® Book Club
Youth ages 7 to 13 are invited to explore the world of American Girl, “Kit Kitteridge” through crafts, games and activities from the Depression-Era. Each child will receive a Kit Kitteridge book. Topsy-Turvy Thursday-Scrapbooking

Make-N-Take
Youths, aged 6 and up, are encouraged to participate in decorating canvas book bags using markers, stamps and more provided by the Friends of the Southwest Branch Library.
