Published Mar 17, 2016

A public hearing and a community meeting for the Perdido Key Master Plan have been scheduled for the following dates in April:

  • Community meeting: Monday, April 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Perdido Bay Community Center, located at 13660 Innerarity Point Road
  • Public hearing: Tuesday, April 5 at 8:30 a.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex board meeting room, located at 3363 W. Park Place

The final draft of the Perdido Key Master Plan will be presented at the community meeting, with project consultants available to answer questions as needed.

The Perdido Key Master Plan is a comprehensive document that guides development and future growth of the community, based on public input, planning initiatives, existing development, physical and environmental characteristics, and social and economic conditions. It includes analysis, recommendations and proposals for housing, transportation, facilities, land use and economy. The plan helps decision makers maintain a balance between protection and conservation and growth and development. The information contained in the plan is intended to guide decisions related to public and private use of land and public facilities in a manner compatible with the land’s character and adaptability, thus promoting good stewardship of resources.
