Veterans Services Outreach Events Planned at West Florida Public Libraries

Published Mar 3, 2016

Escambia County Veterans Service Officer Marvin Merillat this week announced upcoming outreach events at numerous West Florida Public Library locations. Outreach events are intended to assist and educate those Veterans who cannot physically come to the Escambia County Governmental Center, 221 Palafox Place, from various county district locations due to their current health condition, transportation issues, etc.

While at each location, attendees will be provided with a brief Veterans Affairs benefits overview to educate Veterans and their dependents about VA benefits and entitlements. The overview will be followed by a question and answer session. Attendees will have the opportunity to make appointments or conduct on-site interviews to determine initial eligibility, etc.
