Jail Special Workshop, Meeting Scheduled for Tomorrow

The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special workshop and meeting Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building Board Chambers, Room 100, 221 Palafox Place to discuss the Escambia County Jail. As this is a workshop and a special meeting, the commission will have the ability to vote on any recommendations related to the Escambia Jail. The meeting agenda is included below.

That the Board discuss the offer on the McDonald property and take one of the following courses of action:

  • Accept the offer for the entire site;
  • Accept the offer for the partial site;
  • Decline the offer; or
  • Make a counter offer.

4. Discussion Concerning the Town of Century Housing Issues - Meredith Nunnari, Neighborhood Enterprise Division Manager

5. Recommendation Concerning Resolution R2016-26 Extending the State of Local Emergency - Alison Rogers, County Attorney

That the Board accept for filing with the Board's Minutes, Resolution R2016-26 which extends the State of Local Emergency for an additional seven (7) days beginning Monday,
February 22, 2016.
