Escambia County Commissioners Doug Underhill (District 2) and Lumon May (District 3) will host a joint town hall meeting to discuss opportunities and renovation ideas for the Escambia County Brownsville Community Resource Center. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the center, located at 3200 W. DeSoto St.
The county has committed to renovating the resource center, with this meeting serving as an initial effort to help create dialogue among the Brownsville community regarding the project. Ideas for the proposed renovation will include topics related to workforce training, education, health, performing arts, senior citizens programs, youth development and more. Local residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with elected officials and county staff to express what they would like to see done with the renovated community center.
