Rolling Hills Bond Surrendered

The bonding company for Rolling Hills Construction and Demolition has opted not to move forward with closure of the landfill, instead surrendering the bond. The company has deposited the sum of the bonded amount ($651,633) into a trust.

Shawn Hamilton, Director of the Northwest District of the Department of Environmental Protection, plans to update County officials on the next steps in the process once they have received verification of funds. The DEP will now assume responsibility for the closure of the landfill.
