Road Closure Notice: West Jackson Street & 65th Avenue

The following road(s) will have a closure and detour implemented beginning Tuesday, October 6, to construct improvements associated with underground storm water system installation at the intersection of W. Jackson Street and 65th Avenue:

  • West Jackson Street closure and detour: West Jackson Street closure between 65th Avenue and 61st Avenue will be implemented beginning October 6, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. The closure will be implemented each night between the above-referenced times until storm system crossing W. Jackson Street is complete.
  • Eastbound motorist on W. Jackson Street will be detoured north onto 65th Avenue east on Lillian Highway south onto 61st Avenue back to W. Jackson Street.
  • Eastbound motorist on W. Jackson Street will also have the option to detour south onto 65th Avenue then east onto W. La Rua Street north onto 61st Avenue back to W. Jackson Street.
  • Westbound motorist on W. Jackson Street will be detoured north onto 61st Avenue west onto Lillian Highway south onto 65th Avenue back to W. Jackson Street.
  • Westbound motorist on W. Jackson Street will have the option to detour south onto 61st Avenue west onto W. La Rua Street north onto 65th Avenue back to W. Jackson Street.
  • Southbound motorist on 65th Avenue will be detoured south to W. La Rua Street one block south of W. Jackson Street and north onto 61st Avenue.
  • Southbound motorist on 61st Avenue will be detoured south to W. La Rua Street one block south of W. Jackson Street and north onto 65th Avenue.
  • Northbound motorist on 61st Avenue will be detoured north on 61st Avenue west onto Lillian Highway then south onto 65th Avenue.
  • Northbound motorist on 65th Avenue will be detoured north on 65th Avenue east onto Lillian Highway then south onto 61st Avenue.
