Playground Changes Coming to Civitan Park

The Escambia County Department of Parks and Recreation recently announced that Civitan Park, located at 404 S. Second Street, will be getting a new playground, climbing wall, outdoor exercise equipment and pavilion. Installation on this equipment is slated to begin Monday, September 21.

The new playground and exercise equipment will be installed first, followed by the park pavilion. Estimated completion time on the playground and exercise equipment will be three weeks, with the pavilion expected to be completed in November. While installation is in progress, certain areas of the park will be closed that are effected by construction. Please note the park will remain open throughout this renovation, as only small parts of the park will be effected at one time.
