Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions the week of September 13 on the following state roads in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
- U.S. 98 between the Pensacola Bay Bridge and the Gulf Breeze Zoo in Santa Rosa County, Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Crews will pave, make minor roadway repairs and perform shoulder widening.
- Interstate 10 (I-10) from Scenic Highway (exit 17) to Davis Highway (exit 13). Alternating lane closures beginning Monday, Sept. 14, from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Crews will perform shoulder work.
- Interstate 110 from I-10 to Maxwell Street (Exit 3). Operation will require slow moving vehicles as crews replace reflective pavement markers from 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
- I-10 from the Alabama state line to Davis Highway (Exit 13). Operation will require slow moving vehicles as crews replace reflective pavement markers from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
- State Road (S.R.) 297 (Pine Forest Road). Operation will require slow moving vehicles as crews replace reflective pavement markers from 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
- U.S. 98 Pensacola Bay Bridge between Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. Temporary lane closures from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, as crews repair bridge joints in the eastbound lanes.
- Temporary lane closures for overhead sign repairs, Monday, Sept. 14, to Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the following locations: S.R. 289 (9th Avenue) near Gregory Street and Chase Street; S.R. 291 (Davis Highway) near Uncle Bob’s Storage; U.S. 90 at New Warrington Road; S.R. 95 at I-10; and I-10 at exit 13.
Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone. All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
