Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions Sunday, August 23, through Friday, August 28, on the following state roads (SR) in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
- U.S. 98 between the Pensacola Bay Bridge and the Gulf Breeze Zoo in Santa Rosa County, Sunday, August 23, through Thursday, August 27, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Crews will pave, make minor roadway repairs and perform shoulder widening.
- I-110 between I-10 and Maxwell Street (Exit 3) in Escambia County Monday, August 24, through Wednesday, August 26. Operation will require slow moving vehicles as reflective pavement markers are placed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- State Road (S.R.) 281 (Avalon Boulevard) at Garcon Point Bridge in Santa Rosa County Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25. Intermittent daytime lane closures as crews make repairs to the roadway shoulder. Traffic flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control.
- S.R. 297 (Pine Forest Road) from S.R. 10A (Mobile Highway) to S.R. 10 (Nine Mile Road) in Escambia County. Operation will require slow moving vehicles as reflective pavement markers are placed 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, to 5 a.m. Thursday, August 27.
- Crews will perform a routine inspection on the westbound I-10 bridge located over County Road (C.R.) 191 (Garcon Point Road), 5.2 miles west of S.R. 87, in Santa Rosa County Wednesday, August 26. Lane restriction will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Crews will perform a routine inspection on S.R. 295 over S.R. 298 (Lillian Highway), .7 miles south of U.S. 90, in Escambia County Thursday, August 27. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- S.R. 95 (U.S. 29) from Ten Mile Road to C.R. 184 (Muscogee Road) in Escambia County Thursday, August 27. Operation will require slow moving vehicles as reflective pavement markers are placed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone. All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
