Escambia Residents Encouraged to Submit Photos for Calendar Contest

Do you have a keen eye for the beauty that surrounds us in Escambia County? Do you spend more time taking pictures at the beach than getting a tan? We want to hear from you!

The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) is currently accepting submissions for their "Awesome Weather" Calendar Photo Contest. Counties throughout the state of Florida will be vying for their photo to be featured in the annual calendar. Photos can be of any weather event you deem "awesome" including lightning, rainbows, clouds, water spouts, etc.

Escambia County residents can submit photos to [email protected]. You can submit multiple photos but they must be emailed individually. Pictures must be at least 2,000 pixels (3,000 is preferred) and they must be in jpeg format to be considered for the calendar. The deadline to submit photos is Wednesday, August 12, 2015. 

With EACH photo please include the following information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Phone
  • County
  • Description of photo
    • County, Location and Photo Credit

AND

You must include the following statement. Please type your name in lieu of signing.

"Right of Use: We, the undersigned, hereby certify that the photo being submitted has never been copyrighted. If copyrighted, we are the sole copyright owner. We understand that we are giving the Florida Association of Counties the right to use this image for the FAC Calendar. We understand that all submitted images become the property of FAC and will not be returned. Please sign below.*"
